| Abstract | The article deals with issues pertaining to interaction between private arbitration and the requirements of fair hearing enshrined in Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights. It examines arbitration practices and the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights. It describes how and in which circumstances the state courts can interfere into arbitration proceedings and whether arbitration can be scrutinised from the point of view of its «fairness», similarly to the supervision over observance of this requirement by the domestic courts. |
