Annotation | The article covers some methodological approaches to anticipate development of ecological law in the 21st century. Complexity of the process is associated with availability of many aspects, stochasticity of influences on this process, impossibility to anticipate all range of social challenges in the future and potential of science to adequately respond to them, as well as subservient character of ecological law in interactions between nature and society. It is predicted that the concept of sustainable development should remain as a guiding theory for development of ecological law in the 21st century. From the standpoint of this concept modern strategic ecological documents and ecological legislation of Ukraine are analyzed. Possible scenarios of future changes in the ratio of international and national legal elements in the regulation of ecological relations, as well as prospects of ecological law development «broad-wise» and «upwards» are considered. |
