The article suggests with respect to Constitutional Court of Ukraine decisions the interpretation of several basic concepts provided in Art. 59 of the Constitution of Ukraine. It is proved that the protection of rights is a protection of any right of man (and sometimes also of other actors of legal relations); defender — counsel or any other specialist in legal sphere who helps a person to avoid violations of his rights or to remedy breaches and compensate damages; legal aid is an aid in using legal means of the abovementioned protection. The recommendations for the Constitutional Court of Ukraine are provided.
