Annotation | The article is devoted to generalization of values, scientific, educational and practical potential of comparative jurisprudence as a legal discipline. In particular, it is argued that it assumes the values of respect for the legal experience of other nations, denial chauvinism and isolationism in the legal field. The role of comparative jurisprudence in a critical assessment of national law and determining the prospects for its development is highlighted. In this regard, the necessity of higher legal education curricula comparativization is argued, defined mechanisms to ensure training in the field of comparative jurisprudence. Evaluated experience and potential of academic research institutions in the development of this discipline, achievements and current state of Ukrainian comparative jurisprudence. Identified causes of inhibition of the recognition process of comparative jurisprudence as a specialization to defend doctoral theses in the context of discussions about its autonomous disciplinary status. The role of comparative jurisprudence in scientific support to rulemaking is stated. |
