| Annotation | The article describes the evolution of legislation on regulation of economic and commercial activities as a form of economic activity, provided by the Economic Code of Ukraine. The first written sources of national legislation since ancient times as well as prerevolutionary legislation of tsarist Russia regulating commercial activities are studied. The evolution of legislation on commercial activities in the Soviet period and the period of independence of Ukraine is analyzed. Given the above analysis, periods of evolution of the Ukrainian legislation on economic and commercial activities as well as five stages thereof are outlined. |
