| Annotation | This article gives an insight of Ukrainian legislation and its international undertakings concerning nonaligned status of Ukraine and its relations with regional security structures. It may be said, that Ukraine presently doesn’t have neither law nor international undertakings forbidding it to participate in regional organizations of collective security in general. The proclamation of nonaligned status is and will remain being important though for maintaining Ukraine’s national security and territorial integrity as long as collective security arrangements my be used for aggressive purposes. As far as Ukrainian interest is to maintain friendship with all its neighbours, the search for effective international legal guarantees of Ukraine’s security may serve as a reason to build the new model of European security, that will be truly all-European. |
