Annotation The article deals with current issues of Ukrainian financial services legislation adaptation with the EU standards. Special attention is paid to problems of distance marketing of financial services. A comparative analysis of the Directive 2002/65/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 September 2002 concerning the distance marketing of consumer financial services main provisions and related legislation of Ukraine is conducted. Such issues as the conclusion of distance contracts, supplier's commitment to provide consumer with the information, procedure for the provision of financial services, consumer's right to withdraw from the contract are considered. The current state and ways to improve the national legislation in this area are covered by this article.
