| Annotation | This article is dedicated to ethic and legal grounds of the amendments to article 23-1 of the Law of Ukraine «On the Bar and Advocacy» on the right of an advocate to use firearm. The possible professional right of an advocate to use firearm, as well as the current situation with the guarantees of the advocates’ activity in Ukraine are analyzed. The author objects to the amendment to article 23-1 of the Law of Ukraine «On the Bar and Advocacy». The author advises to secure the protection of the legal status of an advocate by implementation of the guarantees of the advocates’ activity enshrined in the Law. At the same time, the above system of guarantees of the advocates’ activity must not encompass the professional right of an advocate to use firearm. |
