Article have conducted the comparative legal analysis of official and informal drafts of the Constitution of Ukraine and its separate articles, prepared after acquiring the status of a sovereign state. Common errors and mistakes which have been reflected in these documents have revealed (narrow understanding of the nature and essence of the Constitution, word-for-word understanding of the theory of separation of powers, pretentiousness in the drafting of some articles, unconsidered adoption of some articles from the texts of foreign constitutions etc.). Recommendations for improvement of the methods of preparation of the draft of new Constitution of Ukraine, secure more realistic effect on the situation in Ukraine, the long-term perspectives of the development of state, Ukrainian society and human rights are given.
