| Annotation |
This paper examines the main provisions of «Anonymous note on the need to limit the hetman» as important sources of political and legal thought in Hetmanate, that reveals the essence of the relationship between the Hetman and the Cossack foremen. The document contains proposals to the Russian monarch concerning the ordering and limitations of Hetman’s authorities, to overcome such negative effects for the state as a dictatorship, corruption, protectionism, dependent judiciary, budget spending for personal purposes. The analysis of the text of the note allows advancing the hypothesis concerning the time of its compilation and social background of the author or group of authors. |
