| Annotation |
The article considers the Juvenile Courts Act of the Republic of Croatia. The key terms related to offenses committed by minors are covered and analyzed in the article. The author investigates the types and features of correction measures destination to minors. It is noted that the enile system of the Republic of Croatia provides a number of corrective measures which, on the one hand, provide humane gradual increase of corrective measures, and on the other, postpone sentence to imprisonment for a juvenile offender.Main provisions concerning the punishment and conditional release of a minor from the punishment and its serving are analyzed in the article. The author raws a conclusion that punitive anctions, which are applicable to minors in the Republic of Croatia, are aimed at minimizing the use of imprisonment, isolation of the child from the public.
