| Abstract | The issues of criminal proceedings in absence of a suspect or an accused are studied in the article. Given the objectives and principles of criminal proceedings, the key areas of further legislative reform of special pre-trial investigation of criminal offences are identified. Special focus is made on the role of an investigating judge in settlement of issues arising in the framework of special pre-trial investigation. |
