The Article is dedicated to the analysis of the basic principles of ensuring the mutual coherence of jurisprudence of the courts of specialized jurisdiction and those of general one, functioning in the legal system of Ukraine. Hence, the author organizes the performed in the article analysis around the doctrine of the cassation review and its significance for the directing and development of the case-law. Based on historical and axiological analysis of the nature and functions of courts of highest instances, and on relevant comparative analysis of foreign experience (both the doctrinal and the one formulated within the course of the case-hearing) the author proves in the article that ensuring the jurisprudence coherence is the primary task for the Supreme Court of Ukraine.
