The introduction of performance budget and long-term planning of public finances are one of the most important directions of changes in the polish financial law during few last years. These reforms are implemented gradually in order to improve transparency, efficiency and effectiveness of public spending. They are part of a broader reforms aimed at modernizing the public administration, called New Public Management.
