Annotation | The article aims to identify the mismatch between constitutional and real order concerning separation of powers in Ukraine. This aim is pursued by considering the issues related with political and legal institutionalization of the constitutional principle of separation of powers in Ukraine. Political and legal perspective of the study allows for clear outlining the social and political context for the development of formal institutes and for making supplementary analysis of informal institutes. This lays grounds for predictions of possible evolutions in the state power mechanism in Ukraine. The study allows for the conclusion that because informal political institutes and practices (institutes of civil society) represent an essential factor for institutionalization of separation of powers in Ukraine. It is the reason why they should be key contributors in processes of further democratization of the state power in Ukraine. |
