| Annotation | In this paper some problems of implementation of the law on the election of the President of Ukraine consideration. It is stated that the electoral law and practice are far ahead of the theory of suffrage. A number of changes to improve the electoral legislation proposed (some qualifications for presidential candidates, reducing the duration of the campaign, the financing of presidential elections). It is concluded that the introduction of stricter requirements for nomination and registration of candidates will be a factor that will assert political responsibility and to minimize one of the possible uses of «dirty» electoral technologies. |
