Annotation The Swordfish Dispute between the European Union (formerly — European Communities) and Chile is one of the most intricate disputes of modern time. Materialized in early 1990s it continues to produce mind-invigorating material for many specialists in international law. The article entitled «Modern Practices in International Dispute Resolution: Chile-EU Swordfish Case» depicts an effort to address its key issues in the light of current challenges to international dispute resolution as such. In the view of Ielyzaveta Badanova (author), the swordfish controversy may become a milestone case to implement new uncompromised techniques in resolving existing conflicts, especially in the sphere of natural resources conservation and management.
